Darrell Greer

Darrell Greer is a former long-time journalist and editor from Cape Breton, N.S., who spent 23 years writing on indigenous affairs in Canada’s Eastern Arctic as the editor of Kivalliq News in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut.
A winner of more than 100 writing-and-editing awards during his career -- including being named the recipient of the George Cadogan Memorial award as the year’s Outstanding Columnist by the Canadian Community Newspaper Association in 2009 -- Greer is a graduate of the journalism program at P.E.I.’s Holland College and the Business Administration program at the Toronto School of business.
He has also written for the Cape Breton Post, The Guardian in Charlottetown and the Timmins Daily Press. His work has been published in numerous magazines and trade publications both nationally and internationally.
